SARAH B. PERLMUTTER, ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY, JOINS FAMILY LAW DIVISION OF KASSIUS BENSON LAW, P.A.
The Firm is pleased to announce the hiring of Sarah B. Perlmutter as an Associate Attorney in the Family Law Division of the Firm. Sarah is a 2015 graduate of the University Kentucky College of Law. While in law school, she excelled in both academic and service arenas. Academically, Sarah was a research assistant for Dr. Melynda Price in the area of race and the death penalty earning an acknowledgement in Dr. Price’s recently published book, At the Cross: Race, Religion, and Citizenship in the Politics of the Death Penalty. She also participated in multiple legal clinics focusing on civil and family law areas. Throughout law school, Sarah devoted countless hours to her community as a student mentor, representative for the admissions committee, president of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund, and active volunteer with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.
Sarah received her undergraduate degree in sociology from the University of Kentucky in Lexington. While at the University of Kentucky, Sarah trained to be a Guardian Ad Litem and family law mediator and conducted court ordered supervised visitations for families. Sarah was also honored for her pivotal role in creating a policy addressing the opioid epidemic facing Kentucky’s children.
Sarah is well-travelled having grown up and lived in many parts of the country including New York, Wisconsin, Kentucky, and Colorado. We are happy that she has settled in the Twin Cities. We expect Sarah to excel as an advocate and litigator.
